uring the calendar year of 2014, The Southland Music Line’s Stephen “Andy” Anderson had the privilege of taking thousands of photos of musicians at locations throughout The South. Stephen has captured photos at venues from The Gulf Coast, Austin, TX at SXSW to Atlanta, GA and beyond. There were several unforgettable shows that will long be remembered. The photos taken by Stephen provide a look back at what an incredible year in music it was for all of us.

Stephen Anderson has had a long history of taking photos of musicians and popular figures in entertainment, sports and politics. His photos have appeared in various newspapers, magazines and websites. From taking photos on the sidelines at New Orleans Saints football games with press credentials to being on hand to take photos of would-be U.S. Presidents (Ronald Reagan), popular athletes (Muhammad Ali) and music greats that we could list all day long, Stephen or “Andy”, as many friends call him, stays busy behind the lens.

If we add the number of photos by other contributing photographers to “The Line” of more artists, everyone from Paul McCartney, Dave Rawlings Machine, Billy Joe Shaver, Fleetwood Mac, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, The Underhill Family Orchestra, Otis Gibbs to Kelcy Hyde could be added. It’s been one active year for everyone involved with The Southland Music Line. The work of Stephen Anderson has been a major part of what we aim to do here at “The Line”.
